Planning the accessibility of a cultural heritage, a museum or an archaeological site means making a place inclusive, safe, comfortable and of better quality for all the potential users, ensuring free access to communication and information, making it possible for all to enjoy their cultural heritage.
With this common goal, Corsica, Sardinia, Liguria and the Tuscany coastline (and therefore the Province of Grosseto), with the collaboration of the Tuscany Regional Directorate and the Ministry of Heritage, Cultural Activities and Tourism are partners in the European project called Accessit, within the program of cross-border cooperation Italy-France Maritime 2007-2013.
It is a three-year project, conceived in collaboration with all the partnerships to improve the cultural and physical access to the cultural and archeology heritage.
The archaeological area of Sovana in the municipality of Sorano has been chosen for the Province of Grosseto.
